We stopped selling a rendering and started building a court.
You may have noticed we went quiet for a while. Six months, give or take. No updates, no events, the same "COMING 2026" banner slowly becoming less true by the day.
Here's what we were doing: re-engineering this entire project so it can actually get built.
The original plan was big. Multiple courts, lounges, landscaping, the works, all at once, all before the first serve. It was a beautiful plan, and it had a problem: it needed everything to go right before anyone got to play. We'd fallen into the trap that catches a lot of ambitious projects. We were selling the rendering instead of building the thing.
So we flipped it.
The new plan is called Court One. One premium padel court at 1939 3rd Ave. Steel plate construction, panoramic glass, a pro-grade surface, opening Fall 2027. It runs on a smart, self-serve model: you book in the app, the gate unlocks for you, and the court is yours 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No front desk. No off-hours. No waiting on a clubhouse to be finished before you can play.
When Court One fills up, we build more courts. When Columbus proves it loves this sport the way we think it will, we build the full clubhouse. Rooftop, cafe, pro shop, all of it. The vision hasn't shrunk. It's just finally standing in the right order.
Two more things happened while we were quiet.
First, we partnered with Playtomic, the world's largest racquet sports booking platform, and they're backing our opening with a serious marketing commitment. When the biggest name in padel tech puts weight behind a one-court club in Columbus, Georgia, that tells you something about where this sport is going.
Second, we rebuilt the membership from scratch. Say goodbye to the old pricing grid, and hello to something much simpler:
Founding Lifetime Membership: $1,000, capped at 100 members. Just $100 reserves your place today. The remaining $900 is only collected when we break ground, and until that day, your $100 is fully refundable, any time, no questions asked. It sits in a dedicated account, untouched, until shovels hit dirt. Founding members get 75% off court time for life, peak and off-peak, first access to bookings, and their name on the founders list.
